UNICS CO., LTD. has enhanced its product lines through its expertise in coating and plastics engineering. Coatings such as urethane, Teflon and nylon are used in industrial applications such as part feeders. In June 2003, Unics established an R&D center at Creation Core Higashi Osaka to further develop their research capabilities.
Unics’ specially design polyurethane coatings can be applied extremely quickly, ready as soon as one day. In addition to the abrasion resistance and the high coefficient of friction of urethane, Unics’ polyurethane coatings provide conductive properties to prevent static electricity, self-fire-extinguishing characteristics to improve factory safety and special components for compliance with food product sanitation laws.
Their newly developed complex engineering increases the range of devices and surfaces the coatings can be applied to, and the advanced coating properties include non-adhesiveness, low friction and high viscosity.
In addition to the bowls on part feeders, common applications include barrel grinders, agitator containers, ship devices, water treatment equipment, and devices for foods and pharmaceuticals. The superior performance of Unics’ products provides customers with a high level of satisfaction.
Unics also manufactures and sells a product called the Safety Pon, a melting sterilizer for used needles and syringes.
In 2004, Unics received ISO 140001 certification as well as recognition for business innovation and assistance among small and medium enterprises from the Japanese government.
