Tenking Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in manufacturing and assembling precision cut parts. With its Head Office in Kusune, Higashiosaka City, the company also operates a factory in Kitsuki, Oita Prefecture, which serves as a base for integrated production, while its overseas affiliate Tenking Thailand runs a factory in Thaland.
Among its early successes, at the beginning of the VTR era, Tenking developed a technology for machine processing of the helical shaped tape guide sections known as video heads, which are positioned on the outer circumference of video recorder-use drums. Since that time, the company has continued to develop and grow together with the video industry. At present, Tenkin enjoys the industry’s number-one share in the market for digital video camera-use small drum units, which are manufactured by means of its proprietary high-precision processing technology and precision parts assembly technology. In addition, the company commands the top share in the VHS video deck-use drum market.
In the current era in which video data recording is rapidly shifting from tape to disk, Tenkin is expanding its product range to include automotive-use hydraulic control parts and CD/DVD player parts by making creative use of the precision cutting technology it has accumulated over the past four decades.
In the future too, Tenkin can be relied upon to positively develop new processing methods by fully utilizing its unique store of assets including its in-house precision cutting technology and its production facilities in Japan and Thailand. These well-equipped factories are also capable of carrying out precision assembly, which adds extra value to the products of its precision cutting technology.
